At Ledger, we’re proud to be the global platform for digital assets and Web3, with over 20% of the world’s crypto assets secured through our Ledger devices. With our headquarters in Paris, and offices in Vierzon, Grenoble, Montpellier, London, Portland, Geneva, Zurich and Central Singapore, we have a team of around 600 professionals developing a variety of products and services to enable individuals and companies to securely buy, store, swap, grow and manage crypto assets – including the Ledger hardware wallets line with more than 7.5 millions units already sold in 200 countries.

The team:

The Infrastructure Team at Ledger is responsible for designing, deploying, and operating the infrastructure that Ledger’s services run on. While the team runs and maintains a critical part of the Ledger ecosystem, our infrastructure remains invisible to Ledger’s end users. What this means for you as a Knowledge Management Intern is that you will be working on documentation written for an internal Ledger-only audience. If you are interested in technical writing, we can create opportunities to gain hands-on experience with some basic documentation tasks as well.

What you’ll be doing:

Confluence Space Review & Restructuring

Own a documentation improvement project focused on the Infra department’s Confluence space, which currently serves as an information hub for both internal and external stakeholders. Over time, the content has become outdated and difficult to navigate. The goal of this project is to refresh, reorganize, and improve the overall quality and usefulness of the space.

  • Engage with stakeholders: Interview internal teams to understand what information they expect to find, what’s missing.

  • Update or remove content: Revise pages that need corrections and archive or delete pages that are no longer relevant.

  • Reorganize the structure: Propose and implement a clearer information architecture that improves navigation and discoverability.

  • Identify opportunities for future enhancements: Recommend long-term improvements (templates, workflows, metadata, labels).

Infrastructure Documentation

Assist in the creation of documentation describing the deployed infrastructure of various Ledger services.

  • Research: Gather technical information from engineering sources such as code repositories, configuration files, internal tooling.

  • Write: Produce structured documentation and diagrams about system components, infrastructure, and interactions based on available information.

  • Validate: Validate assumptions with Subject Matter Expert (SMEs) by meeting with engineers, asking clarifying questions, and confirming technical details.

  • Refine: Finalize documentation based on SME feedback.

What we’re looking for:

  • Currently enrolled in a Master's degree program

  • Writing and communication skills:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Fluency in English (working language of our international infrastructure Engineers)

    • Ability to write clearly, concisely, and logically

    • Meticulous attention to detail

    • Ability to bring structure to disparate information

    • Comfortable seeking feedback and iterating on work

  • Research and analytical skills:

    • Comfortable interpreting complex or highly technical information

    • Ability to ask clarifying questions when something is unclear

    • Basic problem-solving skills

    • Curiosity as to how AI can be used to support knowledge management and technical writing

  • Nice to have:

    • Basic familiarity with documentation tools (Confluence, Markdown, Git version control)

    • Basic familiarity with diagramming tools (e.g., Mermaid, Lucidchart)
