Internship duration: 6 months

Over a 6‑month internship, the Infrastructure Administrator Intern will audit and align our codebase access management to industry best practices; strengthen policy enforcement and least‑privilege controls; and support operational reliability by improving monitoring and alerting for our self‑hosted infrastructure and services. The intern will also provide user support for access and tooling issues, collaborating with engineering and security teams to document the current state, close gaps, automate repeatable controls, and enhance visibility through actionable alerts and clear runbooks.

What you'll be doing:

  • Support of Engineering tools services users

  • Configuration, maintenance and administration of systems infrastructure including core services, internal tools, monitoring solutions and bare metal servers

  • Contributing to the identification, test and implementation of new system technologies and solutions

  • Contributing to projects for the delivery of new systems features and requests by our infrastructure, development and DevOps teams

  • Sizing and forecasting systems work packages and working with other technical experts and project managers to deliver work on-schedule and within requirements

  • Ensure documentation and tracking of Ledger's infrastructure solutions and hardware is up to date

What we're looking for:

  • Hands-on experience with in Linux system administration and management in a high availability environment.

  • Hands-on experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or SaltStack.

  • Experience with virtualization environments and Docker or other container technologies

  • Working knowledge of system monitoring tools- especially Prometheus.

  • Coding in a scripting language e.g bash and/or Python.

  • Highly motivated and self-driven. Your level of autonomy is proven

  • You know how to communicate, convince, explain, and justify your choices

  • You are honest and realistic

  • You are fluent in English, French is a plus

Bonus

  • Experience in Datacenter operations or network devices

  • Knowledge with Kubernetes.

  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Github, Jenkins
