The mission of the Business Line Director, E-commerce is to lead and grow one of the company’s largest revenue and profit streams: the global sales performance of the Ledger e-commerce website across all countries.

The Mission:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Leadership: Defining and executing the global e-commerce strategy, optimizing the user journey, and driving D2C growth for Ledger e-commerce across international markets. What you sell on the website is not just a device or a set of services, it is a full ecosystem that does result in hardware sales but not only.

  • Delivery of Revenue and Growth: Being ultimately accountable for the overall sales performance, conversion rates, and revenue generation of the Ledger e-commerce website globally.

  • Organizational Leadership: Operating with a General Manager mindset, leading the business through extensive cross-functional collaboration. Acting as the central orchestrator between marketing, performance marketing, product, tech, and data teams.

  • Commercial Management: You will directly manage the team in charge of developing Ledger’s affiliate network around the planet. At the frontier between sales-driven business development, relationship management and content creation, this team and our community of affiliates is essential to Ledger growth.

  • Fierce Operational Optimization: Continuously identifying opportunities to optimize the funnel and maximize website performance, leaving no stone unturned when it comes to converting traffic into sales.

  • Market Insight: Maintaining an expert, inside-out understanding of global e-commerce trends, localization strategies, competition, and consumer needs to inform strategic decisions.

What We’re Looking For :

  • Strong quantitative and strategic commercial acumen: Advancer pricing strategy, Pricing, inventory management, upsell and cross sell of accessories and services, International markets, Shipping and Tax and Duties, none of these have secrets for you.

  • Experience (at least 10 years) with General Manager (GM)-like roles: The ability to understand all facets of the business—strategy, product, go-to-market, and operations—make holistic, P&L-driven decisions and drive execution to over-achievement.

  • Global E-commerce Experience: A track record of success running a large-scale, high-volume global e-commerce and Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) sales business is a must.

  • Delivery and Operational Excellence experience: Proven results in running an e-commerce website with the highest degree of efficiency, optimizing user engagement and conversion rate optimization (CRO).

  • Quantitative and Results-Oriented: Exceptional analytical skills with a deep understanding of e-commerce metrics, performance marketing mechanics, and user experience.

  • Leadership and Influence: The proven ability to exert significant personal ascendance and influence in a highly matrixed organization to align resources and execute complex initiatives across functional teams without relying on direct reporting lines.

  • Total English fluency: Although the role may be based in Paris, English is a prerequisite for both social and work life in our office.

“What really blew me away was how genuine and earnest everyone is. There is no “you’re on your own” mentality, I had the opportunity to learn the ropes at my own pace, observe, ask questions and find out how to optimize things to work based on my preferences. My team especially, is helping me relearn what a healthy work relationship looks like. We support each other and there’s no gatekeeping on projects, technique or skill.”
