Your career in tech, finance, or security doesn’t have to start with a permanent contract. For many people at Ledger, it started with an internship.
Ledger is a security company with a clear mission: help people manage their digital value, identity, and life free from compromise. Since 2015, we’ve built hardware and software that millions of individuals and hundreds of institutions rely on to protect what matters most. As blockchain and AI reshape ownership and trust, the team behind that mission keeps growing, and trainees are a real part of it.
If you’re a student considering applying, here’s everything you need to know:

Interns are a real part of the organisation
Whether you’re joining Tech, Finance, Legal, People, or Marketing, you’re not just there to observe. You will also contribute like Grégoire and Vishakha:
Vishakha, who joined Ledger’s People team as an intern:”Every single day at Ledger has brought a new opportunity to learn and contribute, especially in areas I’m genuinely passionate about like talent development, performance management, and employee learning. What I love most is being able to finally apply all the theory from textbooks to real projects that have impact.”
Grégoire, now in a permanent role in Engineering, started the same way: “Starting my journey here as an intern was the best way to bridge the gap between the theory courses I had and the fast-paced world of cybersecurity. I was able to sharpen my technical skills and have been mentored by skilled and supportive engineers.”

The recruitment process: what to expect
The process runs across 2 to 3 stages depending on the team you’re applying to.
- Step 1 – Talent Acquisition Interview
A 30-minute conversation with someone from the TA team. We want to get to know you, understand your background and motivations, and give you a clear picture of the role. No trick questions, just a real conversation. - Step 2 – Technical or Skills Assessment
Depending on the team, this can be a take-home exercise or an onsite assessment. It’s designed to reflect actual work you’d be doing. Preparation counts, but so does how you think through problems. - Step 3 – Final Interview(s)
A conversation with the hiring manager and, in some cases, other team members. Expect behavioural scenarios and a genuine two-way exchange, we want to know if you’ll thrive here, and you should be figuring out the same thing.
One thing that holds across all teams: curiosity matters. You don’t need to be a crypto or web3 expert. What you do need is a genuine passion and interest in what we’re building and the willingness to learn.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a real chance of getting a permanent contract?
Yes! Obviously, we can’t give any guarantee, but interns who show up with curiosity, ownership, and a genuine appetite to grow tend to make a strong case for themselves.
What types of internships and apprenticeships are available?
We hire trainees across all organisations: Tech, Finance, Legal, People, Marketing, and more in France. Both internships (stages) and apprenticeships (alternances) are available throughout the year.
What if I don’t have a strong crypto background?
You don’t need one. What matters is your ability to learn, contribute, and engage with the mission. Many people at Ledger came in without deep crypto knowledge and grew into it.
