Internship duration: 6 months

The team

As a UX Research Intern, you will join our Product Design team to help create intuitive, accessible, and delightful user experiences. You'll collaborate with experienced UX Researchers, Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers to understand user behaviors, needs, and motivations. This internship offers hands-on experience in various research methodologies, translating findings into actionable insights that directly shape product strategy and design decisions.

What you'll be doing:

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented UX Research Intern to join our team for a 6-month end-of-studies internship. This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of the Web3 space, directly contributing to Ledger's strategic decisions.

Research Design and Execution:

  • Assisting in the planning, design, and execution of diverse qualitative and quantitative research studies.

  • Assist in writing user research protocols

  • Conducting various research methods such as moderated and unmoderated usability testing, user interviews, focus groups, surveys, diary studies, and competitive and heuristic evaluations.

Data Management and Analysis:

  • Supporting the collection, synthesis, and analysis of user behavior data from research studies and existing sources like analytics and server logs.

Logistics and Coordination:

  • Aiding in participant recruitment, scheduling research sessions, and managing overall research logistics.

Reporting and Communication:

  • Contributing to the creation of research reports, presentations, and artifacts such as journey maps and personas.

  • Effectively communicating key findings, insights, and recommendations to the design and product teams.

Collaboration and Advocacy:

  • Acting as a user advocate within the team.

  • Attending team meetings and collaborating closely with cross-functional partners to ensure research insights are integrated into the design process.

Documentation and Organization:

  • Organizing and maintaining the research repository to ensure all data and findings are accessible and well-documented.

What we're looking for:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Cognitive Science, Information Science, Anthropology, Sociology, Design, or a related field.

  • Prior experience (academic projects, former internships, or personal projects) conducting research studies and delivering insights.

  • A fundamental understanding of user-centered design principles and the role of UX Research in the product development lifecycle.

  • Demonstrable knowledge of common qualitative and quantitative research methods.

  • Familiarity with standard UX research and collaboration tools (e.g., Typeform, SurveyMonkey, Miro, Figma, or similar).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; comfortable presenting ideas and data clearly.

  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
