Our mission is simple: to make self-custody accessible and give people the keys to their own financial futures. If you want to make a true impact, we want you to join us at Ledger.

At Ledger, we’re proud to be the global platform for digital assets and Web3, with over 20% of the world’s crypto assets secured through our Ledger devices. With our headquarters in Paris, and offices in Vierzon, Grenoble, Montpellier, London, Portland, Geneva, Zurich and Central Singapore, we have a team of around 600 professionals developing a variety of products and services to enable individuals and companies to securely buy, store, swap, grow and manage crypto assets – including the Ledger hardware wallets line with more than 7.5 millions units already sold in 200 countries.

The team:

You will be joining our core web engineering team, which is responsible for everything you see on ledger.com. They own the end-to-end customer experience and work on various systems on the e-commerce platform.

To support our continued growth, we’re hiring an Engineering Manager to join the E commerce business unit. You’ll work directly with the Engineering Director and lead a high-performing team to deliver core features across our top web sites. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll shape the product experience millions of users rely on every day.

What you’ll be doing:

Management

  • Lead your team and meet regularly with your direct reports to provide frequent feedback on their work

  • Drive recruitments, performance assessments, trainings and career development for your team

  • Help individuals set goals and improve their practices, to ensure employee growth and meet retention goals

Tech

  • Drive projects from end-to-end, implementing best-in-class engineering practices

  • Participate in the sprint delivery, monitor Tech' metrics, and be accountable for the quality of deliverables

  • Consistently come up with innovative solutions integrating and encourage innovative thinking from others

Delivery

  • Collaborate closely with Delivery Managers, Product Owners and Designers to assess feasibility, provide technical recommendations, and help estimate and plan

  • Delegate effectively, ensuring tasks are completed as specified without micromanaging

  • Communicate clearly on expectations and ensure practices are followed to meet Ledger’s quality bar

Leadership & Communication

  • Embrace a positive “can do” attitude, and be a model for others

  • Be proactive in your communication and be a well-identified link with other teams

  • Track progress/risks/issues and communicate them to the appropriate stakeholders

Success Here Means:

  • Feature enablement over architecture - Getting things done by creatively integrating third parties, not reinventing wheels

  • Business results over technical novelty - Supporting improving SEO rankings, page performance, conversion rates, fast feature experimentations

  • Brand stewardship - Every decision must preserve Ledger's premium brand and user trust. As a security company, even simple implementations need security rigour

  • Strong pragmatism - comfortable choosing simple tech that works

Our tech:

  • Core: Vercel, Next.js (Shop), Shopify (E-commerce backend), Contentful (CMS)

  • Secondary: AWS, Kubernetes, Postgres

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years contributing to enterprise-level codebases

  • Excited by outcomes rather than tech novelty; able to ship reliable value with simple tech

  • Strong code quality focus: writing performant, secure, maintainable code using practices like DDD, Clean Code, TDD, and pairing; championing best practices through reviews

  • Teaching and mentoring mindset – constantly levelling up the team

  • Great communication skills – translating technical concepts for non-technical people and presenting at demos

  • Data-driven decision making

  • Experience with agile delivery, CI/CD, and feature planning/forecasting
