The team
As a Senior/Staff QA Engineer at Ledger, you’ll work across multiple product squads and collaborate closely with both QA Engineers and QA Automation Engineers. Your role mixes hands-on test automation, high-level quality strategy, and practical manual testing where it matters. You’ll help teams build reliable automation, raise overall quality standards, and guide them toward owning the quality of their deliverables.
What you’ll be doing
Designing and improving tools, workflows, and processes that strengthen quality across the SDLC.
Performing manual testing when automation is not practical or when deep exploratory validation is required.
Build new and maintain existing workflows for CI/CD pipelines
Maintaining automation frameworks and test tooling (primarily TypeScript; Python appreciated but optional).
Improving test coverage and helping teams integrate automated testing into their development routines.
Integrating automated testing into Quality Assurance practices
Running workshops, coaching sessions, and pair-testing/pair-programming to raise automation maturity across teams.
Communicating with product squads about the improvements following the strategy, sharing of experiences, best practices and lessons learnt.
What we're looking for
Hands-on experience in developing test automation solutions using Typescript (Python is optional)
Proficiency using QA Automation Frameworks : Playwright, Detox or Selenium
Proficient in front-end and back-end testing tools and approaches
Good knowledge of development processes, design patterns and programming principles
Prior experience designing workflows and building CI/CD pipelines
Able to work effectively across multiple teams, build strong technical relationships, and operate in a highly collaborative environment.
Curious, pragmatic, and innovative — you stay current with industry trends, challenge assumptions, and identify opportunities to improve quality and engineering efficiency.
Strong communication and influence skills in spoken and written English, capable of explaining risks, trade-offs, and technical constraints clearly to both engineers and non-engineers.
Broad technical awareness across different codebases, platforms, and testing approaches, with the ability to quickly understand new areas and guide teams toward better quality practices.
Solid understanding of Bash/shell scripting and comfortable working with Kubernetes-based infrastructure (logs, pods, CI environments, debugging test environments, etc.).
