Founded in 2014, Ledger is the global platform for digital assets and Web3. Over 20% of the world’s crypto assets are secured through our Ledger Nanos. Headquartered in Paris and Vierzon, with offices in UK, US, Switzerland and Singapore, Ledger has a team of more than 700 professionals developing a variety of products and services to enable individuals and companies to securely buy, store, swap, grow and manage crypto assets – including the Ledger hardware wallets line with more than 6 millions units already sold in 200 countries.
The Hardware Engineering team at Ledger is looking for a key addition to its team. The Hardware Validation Engineer will be responsible for low level validation of new components, and bring up prototype boards.
Your mission
. Develop firmware and drivers to enable the qualification of new hardware components
. Study and report on components performance vs. expected behaviours
. Contribute to our factory test mode
. Collaborate with Hardware and Electronics engineers to ensure correct setups of components in our systems
. Develop on microcontrollers and microprocessors
. Develop various applications on top of Ledger OS for testing and qualification of hardware performance in the system
What we’re looking for
. Engineering degree with 5+ years of experience
. Solid C programming skills
. Good knowledge of Python
. Working knowledge of versioning tools like Git
. Comfortable with low level concepts: interrupt, system tick, peripherals, etc.
. Working knowledge of OS operations: Linux
. Working knowledge of micro-kernel: FreeRTOS, Zephyr, etc.
. Fundamental electronics skills and being able to review schematic
. Ability to navigate components datasheets
. Ability to debug on target: JTAG, SWD, GDB
. Hands- on experience using lab equipment: oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, soldering iron
. Ability to do simple custom PCBA a big plusKnowledge of “Secure Elements” is a plus
. Fluent English speaking and writing skills
