At Ledger, we’re proud to be the global platform for digital assets and Web3, with over 20% of the world’s crypto assets secured through our Ledger devices. Internship duration: 6 months
The team
You will join the backend blockchain team which is in charge of building and maintaining Ledger blockchain infrastructure, core transactional data services, and indexing layers.
The team is composed of passionate Engineers who believe in the benefits and strength of functional programming to develop robust and scalable platforms and APIs, whlie also being eager to understand and implement product and business requirements.
We are convinced that being an engineer is also taking time to challenge, discuss and share what we are working on.
We use Scala extensively to build our backend services and tooling. Have a hand-on experience with it is a great plus, but if you don't know it we will teach it to you.
We take time to have every other week a dedicated knowledge-sharing meeting and participate actively in the community (Meetups, Conferences, Open source contributions, etc…).
What you'll be doing
Add capabilities to our in house JsonRPC reverse proxy (websocket support, session stickieness, ...)
Deliver a high-quality piece of software (Test it, Document it, Demonstrate it)
Conduct benchmarks to identify bottlenecks and optimize the overall performance
Implement introspectability (web UI) and metric publication.
What we're looking for
Good knowledge of Linux operating systems
Adaptability to do teamwork in a fast-evolving environment: You are autonomous, proactive, and capable of self-training.
Experience with continuous integration/deployment solutions
Knowledge of Containerization and Cloud deployments
Having an interest in cryptocurrencies and wishing to work with blockchain technology is a real plus
Enthusiastic about teamwork, learning, and teaching (meet-ups, hackathons, training…)
